"E-Community - Leveraging Technology to Foster Public/Private Partnership"
The Consortium for Educational Enterprise Data Systems (CEEDS)
Speakers Panel Demonstrates Benefits of Leveraging Technology to Foster Public/Private Partnerships
MENLO PARK, CA April 25, 2006
– The evening of Tuesday, May 2, the Junior League of Palo Alto-Mid Peninsula
(JLPA•MP) will host its annual Community Forum event, inviting members
of the Bay Area non-profit community to learn how technology has benefited
a newly created California-based organization called CEEDS, The Consortium
for Education Enterprise Data Systems. Recognizing that non-profit organizations
are continually seeking out new ways to attract volunteers and drive increased
donations, the League's Advocacy Committee conceptualized a speakers panel
to showcase CEEDS, where technology is helping to accomplish both of these
efforts. This event is being held free of charge to all attendees.
Scheduled to start at 6:00pm at the Palo Alto office of Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati, the speaker’s panel will feature the following, all of whom are involved in the creation and daily activities of this newly formed Consortium which benefits schools throughout the state:
"The addition of LTS' IMSeries complements and extends VIP Tone's robust portfolio of technologies, products and services by enabling educators to automatically, unobtrusively and continuously monitor and manage instructional decisions and student and program performance to improve instruction for all students," said Robert Iskander, VIP Tone President and CEO. "Learning Technology Systems' work with multi-state regional consortia has proven that effective data-driven decision-making is only possible through the disciplined collection and processing of those discrete data most closely aligned to the learner's instructional program."

“Our League's Advocacy committee, which focuses on expanding community-based outreach in support of our educational and charitable mission, identified CEEDS as representative of a new fund-raising effort,” says Naomi Chavez, president of the JLPA•MP. “This event will educate leaders in the non-profit community about new ways to approach prospective donors from companies to individual contributors. We are very pleased to be able to host this event at no charge to the community.”
About CEEDS The Consortium

their constituent school districts will be poised to deliver on the promise
